Residential Drug and Alcohol Treatment Stepworks provides CARF-accredited rehab facilities for drug and alcohol abuse. Our main residential treatment center is located in the Historic Helm Mansion of Elizabethtown, KY. The Helm Mansion's home-like setting is an important feature of our treatment program: it is a comfortable therapeutic setting for our team and our clients.
We provide client-focused care to our clients. That means we work with each client to develop a personalized treatment program. With that in mind, here are the basic phases of drug and alcohol rehabilitation at Stepworks: Medical Detox (detoxification) We provide medical detox through our SAMSHA-certified addiction doctor and medical director, Thomas Ingram, MD. We detox clients from all substances (alcohol, prescription pain medications, opiates, prescription anxiety medications, benzos, cocaine, etc.), but we are particularly recognized as a leader in opiate detoxification (oxycontin, oxycodone, oxycotton, hydrocodone, heroin, etc.). Stepworks operates according to proven-effective, medically-directed detox protocols that make detoxification as safe and comfortable as possible for the client. Therapy Beyond our clients medical needs, Stepworks also addresses the behavioral health components of addiction. Our program involves a combination of individual, group, and family therapy. Clients are guided through the first stages of their recovery by a licensed therapist. Clients should not expect to be lonely or isolated at Stepworks—they are continually receiving support and encouragement from the staff and their peers. Uniquely, we pursue a “treatment team” approach to client-care. We leverage the experience of each Stepworks team member and ensure that clients can always reach out to a team member in times of need. That means our administrator, therapists, intake specialists, house monitors, and medical director are all involved in client-care. Therapy also consists of leisure activities, relaxing downtime, and daily chores (meal preparation, cleaning, laundry, helping with pets, etc.). We believe this promotes personal responsibility and accountability to others, both of which constitute a normal, healthy lifestyle. We use a lifestyle curriculum developed by Hazelden. This curriculum includes traditional 12-step approaches combined with practical group therapy. Attendance at on-site 12-step meetings is mandatory. [Click AA (Alcoholics Anonymous) and NA (Narcotics Anonymous) for more info.] Family Therapy and Family Group: Financial Considerations Stepworks is a private treatment center. We participate with most insurance providers (Humana, Anthem Blue Cross Blue Shield, Aetna, Cigna). In addition, we can often negotiate single-case agreements with non-contract health insurance providers. At this time, we do not accept TriCare, Medicare, or Medicaid. We do accept self-pay clients. The 30-day residential program is offered at $6000. |
